Günel Cənnətova — Azərbaycan Milli Elmlər Akademiyasının Folklor İnstitutunun Azsaylı xalqların folkloru şöbəsində böyük elmi işçi olaraq fəaliyyət göstərir, filologiya üzrə fəlsəfə doktoru elmi dərəcəsi və dosent elmi adına malikdir. Onun elmi fəaliyyəti sistemli şəkildə folklorun epik məkanının araşdırılmasına, konseptual olaraq qədim oğuz dastanı «Kitabi-Dədə Qorqud» üzərində cəmlənmişdir. Tədqiqat yönümləri epik məkanın ümumi nəzəri əsaslarından konkret abidədə onun quruluşunun ətraflı təhlilinə qədər ardıcıl inkişafı əks etdirir. 2024-cü il məqaləsi kimi əsərlərdə epik məkanın birləşdirici poetik element kimi rolu, süjet dinamikasını əks etdirən fraqmentar xarakteri və coğrafi obrazların mifoloji funksiyaları müəyyən edilir. Nəşrlər elmi jurnallarda və konfrans materiallarında, o cümlədən beynəlxalq nəşrlərdə təqdim olunur ki, bu da tədqiqatların qlobal elmi kontekstə inteqrasiyasına kömək edir. The objective of this work is to analyze the structure of the epic space in the ancient Oghuz-Turkic epos “The Book of Dede Gorgud”. It was found that despite the lack of a syntagmatic plot sequence, the Oghuz epic space unifies its twelve parts, acting as a poetic feature. On the other hand, the epic space's fragmentary nature mirrors the plot's dynamism, with changes contingent on circumstances encompassing the Oghuz and their adversaries, the infidels, with clear boundaries separating their spaces. Internally, the Oghuz epic space comprises the Ichoghuz at the center and the Dashoghuz at the periphery, emphasizing their distinct habitats. Mountains serve as transitional spaces between order and chaos in the mythological context, particularly during Oghuz noble men's hunts. It the work it is seen how infidels consistently breach Oghuz epic space boundaries which serves to unify Oghuz resistance, and also how sacral images like Gaba Aghaj, Gara dagh, and Gunortaj are integral to Oghuz ethnic-spiritual identity and symbolize organic elements.

The narrator in the epic space interferes with the work as much as he wishes, changing it, increasing, and decreasing it. The epic space can be thought of as a wide space in which the epos's plot is set. The narrator’s speech becomes epic too in the epic space of epos, subject to the epic space's structure.
