Aygün Orucova Azərbaycan Milli Elmlər Akademiyasının Naxçıvan Bölməsinin Ədəbiyyatşünaslıq şöbəsində aparıcı elmi işçi kimi fəaliyyət göstərir. O, filologiya üzrə fəlsəfə doktoru elmi dərəcəsinə və dosent elmi adına malikdir. Onun tədqiqatları əsasən XIX-XX əsrlər Azərbaycan ədəbiyyatına, o cümlədən ədəbi irs, mətbuat tarixi və müqayisəli ədəbiyyatşünaslıq mövzularına həsr olunmuşdur. Onun elmi fəaliyyəti Azərbaycan ədəbiyyatının inkişafının sistematik tədqiqinə əsaslanır, ədəbi cərəyanların təkamülü, tarixi hadisələrin təsiri və görkəmli şəxsiyyətlərin töhfələrini araşdırır. Əsas nəşrlər arasında 'Ahmad bey Agaoglu and his work “In a country of free people”' (2022) məqaləsi Ağaoğlunun əsərinin ideoloji cəhətlərini və müstəqillik hərəkatındakı rolunu təhlil edir, 'Image of Ertogrol Javid in the Azerbaijani literature' (2022) isə siyasi repressiyalar qurbanının ədəbi təsvirini araşdırır. Onun nəşrləri beynəlxalq indeksli jurnallar daxil olmaqla müxtəlif akademik platformalarda dərc olunub. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the main representatives of the Azerbaijani press and literature, as in the whole Turkic world, considered fiction and publicist word as a means of struggle for the salvation of people who suffered from the czarism tyranny; they were able to create the best examples of combating by pen. Ahmed bey Agaoglu, who has created for the first time the organization “Difai” aiming to protect the Turks from Armenians, and worked for the freedom, development, and modernization of the people, has his particular place in the history of Azerbaijan’s struggle for independence. He was also the foreign affairs political advisor of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic. The paper deals with the ideological features of Ahmed bey Agaoglu’s work “In a Country of Free People” published in Istanbul in 1930. A real free country, its basic laws, principles of life and the essence of freedom are thoroughly considered in this work.

Ertogrol Javid (1919-1943), the beloved son of Hussein Javid Rasizade (1982-1941), a great romantic poet and talented playwright of Azerbaijan, who has fallen the victim to the last century’s brutal repressions, was a person of outstanding talent. His endless interest and adherence to various genres of Azerbaijani and world literature and culture allowed him to express himself as a musician, artist, poet, playwright, a specialist in folklore, and ethnographer. Unfortunately, the enemies of the Azerbaijani people did not content themselves with the arrest of the genius writer, guiltlessly called a “public enemy” but showed the same attitude to his family and his son, Ertogrol Javid, and condemned this brilliant talent to death. The paper considers works creating artistic images of this young man who died at the age of 24, despite living with great creative love for the Azerbaijani literature.

Yüzyılda Azerbaycan edebiyatının görkemli temsilcisi, editörü olduğu satirik “Molla Nasreddin” (1906-1931) dergisiyle dünyanın bir çok devletlerinde meşhur olan ve çok sevilen nasir, edip, tiyatro yazarı, tangidi realizm edebi mektebinin başçısı, mizahi şiirler yazarı Celil Memmedguluzade`nin Rusya edebiyatının tanınmış tangidi realist temsilcilerinin edebi faaliyetine verdiği yüksek edebi değerdən bahs ediyor. Gori Muallimler Seminariyası`nda bu rus yazarlarının eserlerini orijinaldan okuyarak derinden benimsemiş Celil Memmedguluzade onlardan bir çok zaman yararlanmış, tangidi realizm sahasında rus klasiklerinin geleneklerinden yararlanarak kendisinin orijinal eserlerini yaratmışdır. Onun rus edebiyatından tercümeleri de dikkat çekicidir.
