Museums are calling repositories of human culture, wisdom and knowledge for a reason. Every museum stores a piece of world cultural heritage, a piece of world history. The Azerbaijani people rightfully proud of their cultural heritage, which had been creating over many centuries. For almost two years, the primary concept of the Museum of the History of Shusha was presented, following the example of which it is possible to organize a whole network of museums of the history of the cities of the Karabakh region in the future. This museum will reflect the most important historical events, starting from the birth of the city. The creation of the Museum of the History of Shusha will make a significant contribution both to the preservation, study and to promotion of the historical and cultural heritage of the region, and to the formation of a knowledge society and the knowledge economy, also of its important component–the creative economy.

Following the call of the head of state to “turn oil capital into human capital”, Azerbaijan is implementing measures aimed at forming a knowledge society and economy. In an era of global challenges, we should not only talk about the integration of science and education but also expand this concept and speak about the integration of science, education, and culture. Museums, which are an integral part of this process, should play a crucial role in it. Naturally, for this, museum activities need to be brought in line with modern requirements. Only a competent implementation of museum management and marketing principles will ensure that the museum network secures its place within the social life [6, p. 175]. In the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”, special importance is also given to activities aimed at promoting knowledge related to the history of statehood and the restoration of sovereignty, for example related to the period of the ADR.

One of the priority tasks facing us …
One of the priority tasks facing us is the development of a knowledge society, a knowledge economy and its component, a creative economy, in Azerbaijan. The development of museums in the republic, the widespread use of modern technologies in the work of domestic museums, the implementation by museums of projects aimed at educating the population, providing cultural leisure and, at the same time, attracting additional financial resources–all these tasks are of particular relevance.Along with the collection, storage, study and demonstration of museum objects, one of the areas of activity of museums is educational activities. In a period of constantly growing information flow, society needs comprehensive and accessible information. Museums are indispensable sources of such information. At this stage, it is necessary to conduct monitoring in order to find out the current state of affairs in this area, and to develop a unified concept for determining the prospects for the development of museums.

Following the call of the head of …
Following the call of the head of state to “turn oil capital into human capital”, Azerbaijan is implementing measures aimed at forming a knowledge society and economy. In an era of global challenges, we should not only talk about the integration of science and education but also expand this concept and speak about the integration of science, education, and culture. Museums, which are an integral part of this process, should play a crucial role in it. Naturally, for this, museum activities need to be brought in line with modern requirements. Only a competent implementation of museum management and marketing principles will ensure that the museum network secures its place within the social life [6, p. 175]. In the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”, special importance is also given to activities aimed at promoting knowledge related to the history of statehood and the restoration of sovereignty, for example related to the period of the ADR.
