An implicit finite difference scheme approximating the …
An implicit finite difference scheme approximating the equations of barotropic gas flow is proposed. This scheme ensures the positivity of density and the validity of an energy inequality and the mass conservation law. The continuity equation is approximated implicitly. It is proved that the resulting system of nonlinear equations has a solution for any time and space stepsizes. An iterative method for solving the system of nonlinear equations at each time step is proposed.

The proof of the existence of the solution is given in the form of a lemma.To-day the problems of construction of numerical simulation technology in hydrodynamics are urgent problems in the field of computing sciences whose theoretical ground and efficiency estimate is stimulated by the research of the known and the research of new mathematical methods and their realization ways. A system of Navier-Stocks equations is the most commonly used mathematical model in fluid dynamics.

In this paper we consider the approximation of a differential continuity equation by conservative difference scheme with non-negative solution. The grid analogue of energy inequality is obtained for nonlinear difference scheme for barotropic gas. The scheme allows to calculate the solution in the case when density is equal to zero. The obtained scheme is applied to the calculations of large-scale currents of the Black and Caspian seas on shallow water model.

The problem of predictor-corrector control of nonlinear dynamic systems based on a preliminarily constructed set of their three-dimensional phase portraits corresponding to the set of control vectors is formulated. The definition of a stereo portrait of a three-dimensional dynamic system is introduced, and a mechanism for its creation is presented; this mechanism consists in achieving some animation effect, which helps the spatial perception of images on the visual control panel. The definition of the domain of holding states is introduced for a particular class of three-dimensional models with multiple stationary states, and algorithms for the approximation of the boundaries of these domains in the extended space of phase variables and controls are developed. A description of the operation of a man-machine visual monitoring system and a step-wise control designated for a wide range of state variables are given.

The statement is formulated and the solution of the problem of determining the time of corrosion destruction of an elastic homogeneous plate with a deep bilateral external recess is given. A plate of corrosive material is subjected to bilateral stretching in a corrosive environment in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the recesses. The well-known solution of the problem of the stress state of this plate, obtained by H. Neuber, is used. The following cases are considered: a) the effect of stress, which occurs in the plate when it is stretched, on the corrosion process is negligible; b) the effect of plate voltage on the corrosion process is significant. In both cases, the dependences of the change in the area of the narrowest cross-section of the plate on time are found. The time of complete corrosion wear and the time of corrosion cracking of the plate before its complete wear are also determined.

In this chapter we treat the classical theory of damped harmonic oscillator, and study mathematical structure of the model, and construct general solution with any initial condition, and give a quantum counterpart in the case of taking coherent state as an initial condition.The nonlinear equation of dissipative quantum mechanics is considered in the relaxation-time approximation. It is shown that the steady current-free state does not change when dissipation is taken into account; in particular, there is no ground-state damping, and the zero energy is conserved. A solution is obtained to the problem of the excitation of a harmonic oscillator, serving as a model of single-mode radiation in an open resonator; the solution obtained describes the evolution of the oscillator from an arbitrary steady state under the action of a constraining force. Transition probabilities between the oscillator steady states are calculated. The results are found to be in agreement with the classical theory of damping oscillations.

We investigate the question of the separability of the space of input parameters of industrial reaction-regeneration systems in terms of topological structures of the phase trajectories. The phase trajectories are investigated in the vicinity of the set of attractors. We propose a method for fixing the conformity for each input vector of the 3D phase portrait of a particular system. Results of the decision of a problem of visualisation of the control with use of phase portraits of nonlinear dynamic systems are presented.

Experimental data, issued in literature on coroosive destruction of metals under stationary changes of mechanical stress and potential were analytically described by one function. The influence of stress and potential on separate parameters contained in this function was studied. Some experimental data, issued in the literature, with the help of which the applicability of the suggested function was based on, were processed.1. Introduction. It is known that under simultaneous action of mechanical stress and aggressive medium on metallic structural elements there occurs corrosive destruction (cracking) of these elements. Actions of mechanical stress and corrosive medium during the exploitation process are continuously connected. In addition to mechanical stress, temperature and concentation of active components of corrosive medium and corrosion potential have essential influence on corrosion process [1, p. 157− 191]. There are different theories [2, p. 36− 43] that explain the mechanism of course of corrosive process of metals from various positions. Conclusions of these theories are ambiguous. However, while choosing main characteristics of corrosion strength all the existing theories of corrosion destruction are unique. This characteristics is a curve of long-term corrosion strength. The form of this curve is determined by the nature of metal and corrosive medium, temperature, mechanical stress, potential and many other factors.
