In the article novels by Mir Jalal, a prominent writer of the 20 th century is studied in the light of theory of chronotope. According to Michael Bakhtin, idea of any genre is identified by the concept of chronotope (unity of time-place in literary text). Artistic appropriation of real time in a novel is realized by means of chronotope. The comprehensive analysis of novel chronotope of Mir Jalal in the context of time and place shows that the writer has formed a special “arena poetics” in his novels, and realized his ideas and desires within these limits. The attribute of this poetics–“revolutionary time” allows to understand a great era as a whole and to get to the inner essence of the past century by embracing a specific angle of real time in each of the writer's novels. In Mir Jalal’s novels, the metaphorical meaning of the “arena” chronotope is entirely connected to the existence of Azerbaijan and the landscapes of Azerbaijan.

In the article is interpreted the principles that were the basis of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev's attitude towards literature and art and the requests and commentaries of literature training to which he paid special attention. Heydar Aliyev's commitment to literature is based not only on his duty and mission as the president and leader of the country, but also on his innate great love for literature and art. Literature training of Great Leader as a whole is based on the concept of Azerbaijanism founded and implemented by him in the first period when he came to power. During two different stages of his reign, although this training occurs in different statuses, it is essentially the same and serves the same purpose and national progress. Once upon a time Great Leader managed to base the communist ideology which was alien to us and Azerbaijanism ideology that he proclaimed as the official ideology of our independent state on national interests in the same strongly. During the Soviet period, there were many forms and methods of literature training of National Leader and his mechanism of influence on people, nation, society through literature; and these complex measures saved the people from alienation in the Soviet regime, strengthened the processes of national self-awareness and against the amorphous concept of “Soviet people”, he made issues of national identity relevant. The most active and brilliant period of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s relations with the literary environment was the years of independence. In the article is studied the artistic creativity, scientific-philological activity and pedagogical heritage of Mir Jalal Pashayev, coryphaeus of Azerbaijani literature of 20th century, writer, literary critic, pedagogue in terms of indpendence values and the idea of Azerbaijanism; and writer’s services in the preservation and development of national values are interpreted. The artistic creativity of Mir Jalal prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature of 20th century Soviet period, founder of this literature and national prose of this period, consists of six novels, hundreds of stories, dozens of story books and numerous publicist writings. The mouthpiece and locomotive of his artistic creativity was profession of a novelist. Mir Jalal’s poems were rooted in the change of the people, society, and existence of Azerbaijan and were written for this purpose. Each of them are novels that trace “the revolutionary period” at the level of real Azerbaijan and create an image of real time.

In the article, based on literary material, the historical image of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the light of time and modernity, the embodiment of the details of his portrait in literature is traced. Heydar Aliyev is still our contemporary today. His words, ideas and activities serve as conductors in our everyday life, govern our way of life, paving the way for it. With his name, we open the future, glorify our national past, and define our future. Heydar Aliyev is a founder of modern Azerbaijan, ideological independent Azerbaijan, active ideologue. Every citizen of Azerbaijan identifies, makes sense of himself, lives and acts in the light of these beliefs, written in the Constitution of Azerbaijan. The most brilliant, advanced, grandiose pages of the history of Azerbaijan of the 20th century are associated with the name of Heydar Aliyev. Today it is also known that the increase of interest in the literature of the 1970s-1980s to the national past and historical truth, the creation of monumental images of historical figures, were caused by the historical necessity of the time, the result of the well-thought-out literary and cultural policy implemented by Heydar Aliyev, and the provision of a creative atmosphere. Today, Heydar Aliyev himself occupies a place among the great personalities who have ever deserved historical importance and received wide recognition.
