The monuments, which are the property of …
The monuments, which are the property of any country, are also an invaluable study of the history and culture of this country. Nowadays, the protection of cultural heritage is one of the most pressing issues discussed at different levels. The Gusar region, located on the northern borders of Azerbaijan, in a relatively small territory, is an area rich in cultural heritage, with a large number of ancient historical, cultural and architectural monuments. Archaeological research here was carried out by famous archaeologists Jabbar Khalilov, Tarih Dostiev, A. Alekperov, Gahraman Aliyev and others. Archaeological excavations in the Gusar district were first carried out in 1932 by archaeologist A. Alekperov. Although archaeological excavations of a reconnaissance nature were carried out here in subsequent periods, the historical monuments of the region were not well studied from an archaeological point of view. The vast majority of medieval settlements registered here are the remains of rural settlements. This version is erroneous, since the ruins of ancient settlements found here date back to the III–II millennia BC. In 1975, as a result of archaeological excavations conducted by employees of the Department of Archeology and Ethnography of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the remains of about 50 ancient settlements of the Bronze and Iron era, as well as the Middle Ages, were discovered.

Во всем мире объекты культурного наследия, архитектурные, исторические памятники, становятся местами активного посещения все большего числа туристов. Культурный туризм в этом контексте имеет большое значение, так как должен служить идеалам толерантности, принятию и правильному пониманию разнообразия культур мира в целом. Это соответствует и целям культурной политики страны. В этом отношении культурное наследие Губа - Гусарского района Азербайджана надо особенно отмечать. Здесь накопились разных типов археологических, и архитектурных памятников.
