In the article it is said about the features of the legend space. It is noted that in accordance with theideas about the mythological world, the space in the legends is formed from the shortcomings of the sacraland profane, Muslim and pagan worlds. These poles differ from each other not only in distance, but also inquality, in the nature of the objects that make it up. The unusual feature of the items belonging to the sacredspace – their stability, immutability, healing – individualizes the space, sets it against the profane space. Sacredness does not come from the nature of space itself, but it is a characteristic that is acquired later. Thesacral spaces appear either through the embodiment of the divine will, or through the attachment of the original creations to the Islamic Saints, due to unusual properties that apply to the space. Sacralization individualizes the spatial elements, separating it from other spatial elements, giving it a special quality. Therefore, suchplaces become the main places of pilgrimage for tourists and pilgrims, play an important role in the culturallife of the region. Legend texts create a sacral veil around spatial elements and prose, making it have a special place in the community’s belief world.Keywords: legend, sacral space, profane space, reflection, Muslim and pagan confrontation, mythologicalworld.
